Abstract

Chiral-symmetry breaking of two-dimensional QCD is studied in the N\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\infty} limit. The gap equation for the meson condensation function is solved in the axial gauge. The quark condensate 〈\ensuremath{\psi}\ifmmode\bar\else\textasciimacron\fi{}\ensuremath{\psi}〉 is calculated. The effects of finite temperature and baryon density are discussed.
