Abstract
The paper presents a general method, using an electronic analogue computer, of determining large deflexions of thin, piecewise prismatic elastic bars which may be initially straight or bent to any shape, carrying arbitrary discrete loads and moments and subjected to arbitrary boundary conditions. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the method.
