Abstract

In the present issue, Ohgami and colleagues1 studied eight cases of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) with a particular high content of programmed cell death-1 (PD-1)–positive T cells. These PD-1+ T cells were shown to be reactive, although cytomorphologic atypia and an aberrant immunophenotype were seen in two cases. The outcome in these patients was rather favorable. Interestingly, two patients had an antecedent history of nodular lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin lymphoma (NLPHL).
