Laparoscopic Vaginal Reconstruction in a Patient with Failed Primary Reconstruction of Transverse Vaginal Septum

Abstract

A 14yr old female presented with complaints with cyclic pelvic pain since 8 months with non-attainment of menarche. She had undergone resection of transverse vaginal septum with skin graft by plastic surgeon 1 year back. On examination secondary sexual characters were well developed. There was a transverse vaginal septum with cicatrisation of vagina. We managed this case successfully by combined laparoscopic and vaginal approach to create a Neo Vagina. Now the patient is symptom free and has had 2 normal menstrual cycles post procedure.
