Abstract
Background — Aim There are four main types of hiatal hernia (HH), mainly caused by increased intraabdominal pressure. This condition may lead to disturbing symptoms and sometimes dangerous complications. The aim of this study is to highlight the essential elements of proper surgical correction of a paraoesophageal (type III) HH, based on a case we managed laparoscopically.
