Abstract

Cervical cancer is the second major cause of death in women worldwide. An effective strategy is screening and prevention or early detection for maximum therapeutic benefit. Treatment options vary depending on the clinical stage of disease. Early cervical cancer can be treated surgically, among the various procedures available laparoscopic radical hysterectomy is now emerging as good procedure with promising results. The video demonstrates the procedure which involves a careful dissection of the ureter from the brim to its bladder insertion, this includes its careful dissection from the ureteric tunnel in the uterine parametria.
