Abstract
Hydatid cyst of the liver still remains a public health problem in endemic countries. It is most often a single cyst in 70% of cases, the progressive complications of which are not rare. Once the positive diagnosis has been established thanks to imaging, it is necessary to carry out the pre-treatment assessment which is essential in the choice of the strategy.we operated on a 49 year old man for a huge hydatid cyst of the left liver of sergment 2 and 3 by laparoscopic approach, we performed an open cyst perikystectomy and treated the resudual cavity safely.
