Abstract

Objective To assess the feasibility of laparoscopic Meckel' s diverticulectomy and enteroenterostomy in children. Methods The clinical data of 15 laparoscopic Meckel's diverticulum resection by was analyzed. The diverticula were resected under laparoscopically or were exteriorized through the umbilical incision for resection and anastomosis. Results All of Meckel's diverticula were successfully treated, including 13 cases (86.67%) of laparoscopic Meckel's diverticulectomy and enteroenterostomy. The operative time was 29 to 78m (41. 38 ± 14. 59 m). The mean hospital stay was 7 days. Conclusions Laparoscopic Meckel's diverticulectomy and enteroenterostomy is an effective approach.
