Abstract
Laparoscopy is usually used in the diagnosis and treatment of several urological diseases, including abdominal cryptorchidism. Moreover, laparoscopic surgery is currently considered a first choice treatment for many abdominal emergencies, especially gynecological and gastroenterological pathologies. Nevertheless, a review of MEDLINE did not highlight any reports of a urological emergency treated with laparoscopy. We report a case of an acute abdomen due to intra-abdominal testicular torsion, which was diagnosed and treated with laparoscopy under emergency conditions.
