Abstract
Common bile duct stone is a relatively frequent disorder with a prevalence of 15 to 20% in patients with gallstones. This is also associated with serious complications, including obstructive jaundice, acute suppurative cholangitis, and acute pancreatitis. Early diagnosis and prompt treatment are the most important for managing CBD stones. Various approaches of laparoscopic CBD exploration plus primary duct closure are the most commonly used and the best methods to treat CBD stone. We prefer not to use a T tube when performing a Common bile duct exploration, instead, the primary closure or the use of biliary stents is more suitable.
