Abstract

There is no genuine equal opportunity in allowing women to enter traditionally male institutions - but only on the basis that the values of such establishments, and the way they are run, are to remain unchanged. The freedom to be an honorary man or alternatively to be an outsider is a freedom that few women aspire to.
