Abstract

In Yugoslavia, the educational system and practice of landscape planning result from a view of planning as a social necessity. In fact, the Law on Societal Planning defines it as a social decision-making process rather than a technical activity. Because of this situation, and the pressing nature of environmental problems, we find landscape planning to be a widely-demanded speciality of landscape architecture, both in the educational system and in professional practice.
