Abstract

Interpretation of Landsat images of Essaouira basin revealed two new structural elements which complete current geological maps. Comparison with geophysical data suggests that these features correspond to real deep structures created during the Mesozoic distensional events and remobilized during the Tertiary-and the Plio-Quaternary compressional tectonics.
