Abstract

The data set is 1:700000 land cover data of Yinchuan, Qingtongxia, Lingwu, Pingluo and Guyuan counties of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in 2005 and 2010. This data uses a hierarchical land cover classification system. The first class of the classification system is consistent with the IPCC system, and there are six categories (forest land, grassland, wetland, cultivated land, artificial surface, and others). The second class uses a globally unified code type generated by the LCCs of FAO. Based on ecognition software platform, the method of object-oriented computer automatic classification and manual visual interpretation is used to extract the land cover data in the study area. Finally, the data accuracy is verified by field sample point survey, high-resolution image recognition and Google Earth sample point recognition. This data can be used as the background data of regional ecological environment assessment, as well as the basic data of regional planning, climate change research, environmental modeling, biodiversity and ecosystem carbon storage research.
