Abstract

Abstract A description is provided for Lamproderma ovoideum , a nivicolous myxomycete (slime mould). Some information on its dispersal and transmission and conservation status is given, along with details of its geographical distribution (USA (Colorado, Oregon), Macquarie Island, Japan, Australia (New South Wales and Tasmania), New Zealand, Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, UK, and Ukraine), hosts ( Empetrum nigrum , Larix sp., Nardus stricta , Rubus sp., Vaccinium myrtillus , and Physarum vernum ), interactions and habitats.
