Abstract

Experimental results are presented for the influence of electrical termination affecting the performance of a transducer for Lamb wave devices. The transducer consists of three electrode groups, including one on the bottom surface. The others are interdigital electrode groups on the top surface and are terminated with resistances, respectively. The extraction of acoustic energy from the transducer depends strongly upon the values of load resistances connected with two interdigital electrode groups. By using this fact, a device for amplitude modulation is demonstrated.
