Abstract

A study that was based on a review of adverse drug event reports in Japan has concluded that long‐acting injectable (LAI) antipsychotics appear to be associated with lower risk of tardive dyskinesia (TD) than their oral counterparts. TD also was less common with use of second‐generation LAI antipsychotics compared with first‐generation drugs.
