Abstract

The system laevorotatory-carvoxime + dextrorotatory-carvoxime displays unique thermodynamical and structural properties. Its solid-liquid phase diagram, having a maximum, suggests a continuous series of mixed crystals of the disordered substitutional type. The maximum, however, corresponds to an ordered structure. On the basis of phase diagram and thermochemical data a macroscopic thermodynamic description of the system is presented.
