Abstract
Dr. Lael Stone, associate professor of neurology and renowned multiple sclerosis (MS) clinician-scientist-educator, died on February 4, 2019, nearly 2 years after her cancer diagnosis. An empathic and beloved healer, Lael modeled compassionate, patient-centered care for all trainees and colleagues who had the privilege of seeing her in action. Lael will also be remembered for her extensive MRI research, her contributions to comprehensive MS care, and the development of numerous MS clinicians.
