Abstract

Macrofungal exploration in the West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh followed by a thorough examination of collected wild agaricoid mushrooms uncovered one novel species (described here as Lactifluus indovolemus sp. nov.) and two more species (L. acicularis and L. crocatus) new to India. Detailed morphological description, supporting illustrations and a nrITS‐based phylogenetic reconstruction is presented. A comparison with allied species is also provided.
