Abstract

Abstract We compared the preferred body temperature ( T b ) of fasted and satiated diamondback water snakes ( Nerodia rhombifera ) in linear thigmothermal gradients. We found no significant postprandial thermophily. Thermoregulatory precision varied among 6 days of testing and was most precise during the first day (24–48 hr after feeding).
