Abstract

Introduction: Healthcare workers in the Emergency Department (ED) are particularly vulnerable to the threat of communicable disease. This study evaluated compliance with standard precautions by quantifying the use of personal protective equipments (PPEs) and by analysis of incidence and systematic sources of contamination among different staff in the ED.
