Abstract

DC servo motor has become popular for many applications in industrial, robotics, consumer, etc. Controllers are developed to control the position and speed of servo motors. Some of the traditional controllers such as PI, PID, and fuzzy logic controller are used. This project proposed, a fuzzy logic-based controller has been developed to control the speed of the dc servo motor. The fuzzy control is based on fuzzy-PI, a logical of a fuzzy system that is very nearer to human thought and simple language resembled the classical control method. The model of the servomotor is obtained using a system identification approach. The execution of the suggested controller is validated in simulation as well as in a real-time situation.
