Abstract

A report on the Labouring Feminism and Working Class History Conference, which was held on 29 September, 2005 at Munk Centre for International Affairs at the University of Toronto, is presented. The breadth of topics and approaches drawn together demonstrated the vitality and depth of research undertaken. The presentation of stories of union-organising campaigns across different industries and time periods demonstrated the effect on the lives of working women, whether they worked in laundries, casinos or call centres.
