Abstract

The course of Energy Converters is a part of the learning module Power Electronics and Energy Converters. It is a general introductory course developed for students of the first cycle study programs Electrical Engineering and Electronic and Electrical Engineering of Kaunas University of Technology. It covers transformers, DC and AC electrical machines, electric drives, and lighting sources. Laboratory works focus on single-phase transformers, DC motors, asynchronous motors, control devices, and LED lighting. The workbook aids students in conducting labs, studying at home, and preparing reports. It includes sample test questions for better individual test preparation. This book can be useful not only for students, but also for those interested in electrical engineering, energy converters or light sources, and for those wishing to expand their knowledge of electrical engineering.
