Abstract

Female adultery and private revenge as a reaction to that crime were issues often regulated in Castilian and Leonese laws from the 13th Century, under very different legal formulations. Our goal is to interpret this juridical framework in an interdisciplinary way, in order to explain these laws under their cultural and symbolic context.
