Abstract

ABSTRACT: We present a study case of the use of discussions forums for virtual resolution of problems and case studies by the students of engineering in the area of Industrial Organization. The assays described try to develop an alternative methodology of learning with respect to the traditional teaching classes. We have developed a process of continuous learning through sessions of collaborative work that inspire the arising of creative ideas and encourage participating. The practices are based on the study, analysis and resolution of problems through case studies of management situations in industries. The objective is to adapt educational programs to the requirements of the model of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) through the implementation of a new pedagogy in which there were a greater role of the student and the further development of team work. After analyzing the records of the interventions in the forums and the responses of the surveys made to the participants we can conclude that the use of discussion forums constitute an significant change in the education systems specially in the area of Industrial Management.
