Abstract
Society and economyof Capera had some features closely related to its geographical situation. On the one hand, the strong indigenous influence is clearly manifested in the onomastic of the individuals who lived in that city and in its territorium. On the other hand, its location in the so-called «Via de la Plata» was a decisive factor for its development. This study aims to analyze the characteristics and peculiarities of the society and the economy in this municipium.
