Abstract

The Compañía Madrileña de Urbanización history after Arturo Soria y Mata’s death is still today poorly known. Its activity in the later period has been scarcely studied by researchers, only interested in its residential developments and in the evolution and posthumous influence of the work by which Arturo Soria was acknowledged: the Linear City. In this journal article it is analyzed the firm activity after Soria´s death, when some of his sons conducted it, so as the difficulties aroused until they left the company, in the post-war years. An important part of the research has based in the study of unpublished documents kept by Soria’s family.
