Abstract

Revolt of the youth in Sekhukhuneland. Throughout the analysis of youth movements in Sekhukhuneland, the extreme disarticulation of the south african social fabric becomes apparent. Within a context of economic crisis, the rural youth in Sekhukhuneland revolt on the basis of a strong generational conscience founded on the hasty absorption of caricaturised ready made ideologies. Throughout this case analysis, it is the social explosion of South Africa that appears. The normalisation of the political situation in South Africa is likely to marginalised the youth.
