Abstract
El estudio del vestido nos ofrece valiosa información sobre normas y conductas sociales, regidas por el prestigio social y la posición económica de las personas. En la sociedad de Pachuca del siglo XVII observamos la importancia de portar y exhibir vestidos lujosos para mostrar riqueza y poder. A través del comercio ultramarino llegaron a la región de Pachuca ropa y telas de varias partes del mundo, que se adquirían en tiendas especializadas.
