Abstract
The intention of this paper is to provide some sense of coordinates on the place of social responsibility in the field of higher education. The purpose is to consider the importance that currently owns the issue of social responsibility in educational institutions of higher education in a context of complex societies. In this sense, the paper attempts to analyze the place today social responsibility as a relatively emerging issue in the field of education, and particularly on the relevance of insisting on joining the field of higher education as a subject with a substantive value. And this leads us to consider the importance of social responsibility as a component of the University in the context of globalization. At the end, some comments as conclusions are offered.
