Abstract

This brief review intends to synthe- size the fundamental literature regarding the reco- very model (or paradigm) in mental health servi- ces. Approaching the original English-language literature, this work reviews longitudinal and sub- jective studies and explores the fundamental con- cepts of recovery in terms of values, results and phases. The discussion argues for the reorientation of mental health and psychosocial rehabilitation services towards recovery.
