Abstract
The primary step of electrochemical reduction of copper(II) salts, in presence of alkali sulphates, on rotating copper electrodes electrochemically coppered, is a one-electron reversible process Cu 2+ + e − ⇄ Cu +. In certain conditions, this process can be masked by other reactions, such as Cu(I) disproportionation.
