Abstract
Se analiza la situación de la producción de banano orgánico en la República Dominicana y el uso de leguminosas forra-jeras. Se aplicaron entrevistas y encuentras para el levanta-miento de la información. Los resultados evidencian que el 66.7 % de los productores de bananos usan cobertura de leguminosas. Las plantas de cobertura más utilizada son: Canavalia ensiformis, Arachis pintoi, Vigna unguiculata, V. pedunculares y Pueraria phaseoloides.
