Abstract
:This article traces a generalized portait of the practice of art therapy in France when compared to Quebec art therapist’s practices and working conditions. Data was obtained through exchanges with diverse French art therapists that the author had acquainted through professional activities in France. The author gathered reflections concerning the CA of the Fédération française des art-thérapeutes (FFAT) relating to art therapy in France. Other themes explored were the lived experiences of French art therapists, the conditions of practicing art therapy, the presence of various art therapy groups and the current position of art therapy in France.
