Abstract

That conference, which took place on October 13th 2006 at the Collège International de Philosophie in Paris, examines Paul Celan’s poetics in its relation to modernism. This study shows in what way poetic modernism determines the reception of Paul Celan’s work as well as his conception of poetics, which develops in dialogue with the themes of modernism and in opposition to them.
