Abstract

Conversation is the flower of civilization, of which screens are a scourge. Faced with this threat, the theory of conversation in Whitehead is elevated to the metaphysical level. The joke and the enjoyment of a joke form its humorous core, in a conception that makes from conversing the double function of language and can thus go from daily conversation to the renewal of Platonic dialectics via the maieutics of Socrates.
