La práctica curativa de los chamanes o sheripiaris del pueblo asháninka consiste en formar a los niños aspirantes hasta obtener el nivel intelectual más alto, orientado a interactuar como intermediario entre el ser humano y los espíritus de la naturaleza y desenvolverse con éxito en el bosque tropical.
