Abstract

A. Kihm — Creole Studies' Corning of Age. After a century of existence, Creole studies are fmally reaching maturity, becoming a recognized, as opposed to self-proclaimed, discipline, with a fair amount of inner consensus as to the basic issues which delineate its identity. Evidence of this is the recent publication of a few books which achieve the format of real manuals addressed to a wider audience than just the practitioners of the field. Peter Miihl-hausler's book is one of those, certainly the most important to date.
