Abstract

The Inter-American Court of Human Rights has elaborated standards in the field of so-cial rights. These standards are embodied in the so-called American Human Rights Law. The American Human Rights Law would delimit an American space of public order. The Inter-American Court of Human Rights has not declared the breach of article 26 American Con-vention on Human Rights yet, but it has started to develop its teachings on social rights. The most important features of it are justiciability of socio-economic rights; principle of indivisi-bility; principle of minimum of subsistence and State duty of protection even though private actors provide for the service.
