Abstract

In the early twentieth century, Murcia will be an example of the consolidation of the Catholic press in the provinces. As a transmitter of the ideas of the capital, the Church will use this media to promote their ideal model of family among the people in a time of remarkable social and political conflicts. Through the articles in the press, we will see the construction and dissemination of a discourse based on the perpetuation of the Christian family at home, the exaltation of marriage and the definition of the role of the spouses.
