Abstract

Lumbar hernias are due to a parietal defect at the posterior abdominal wall through the triangle of Jean-Louis Petit or the Grynfeltquadrilateral. Often unrecognized clinical complications may be their circumstance of discovery. We report a case of acute intestinal obstruction by strangulation of a lombarhernia in à 60 years’women and emphasize the importance of palpation hernia holes in every patient with intestinal obstruction.
