Abstract
En su ensayo El Quijote como juego Torrente Ballester destaca en la novela cervantina la actitud ludica de Alonso Quijano quien mediante la palabra crea un universo y un personaje, don Quijote. Con una estrategia parecida Torrente monta su novela La saga/fuga de J.B., cuyo protagonista Jose Bastida parece un personaje marginado, pero al final se muestra como el heroe principal y no solo eso: el es el narrador y creador del universo novelesco torrentino. Gracias al arma mas poderosa: la imaginacion.
