Abstract

The transition to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) requires a new teaching-learning paradigm. This educational model demands a different way to organize and present the subject material. In this paper we research the use of a Syllabus (Guía Docente) as a fundamental tool for this relationship between the professor and the student. This study is based o a series of interviews with professors and the analysis of Syllabus in the Communication Degree (Facultad de Ciencias de la Información) at the Complutense University in Madrid (Universidad Complutense de Madrid). We propose a change in the current teaching methodology, which will be reflected in the EHEA Syllabus.
