Abstract

The purpose of this note is to perform a bibliographic review about researches related to the training of critical readers through reading plans framed in public policies. The search was conducted in various databases such as Scopus, Dialnet, Redalyc and Google Scholar. Regarding the conclusions, the importance of “critical” reading, of the review of the concept of “critical literacy” and of the teacher's role as a reader educator is observed. This research is a section of an investigation leading to a Doctor’s Degree “The training of critical readers through reading plans and institutional projects of reading, writing and speaking”, connected to the emphasis of language and communication and the line of didactic investigation of language and maths from Interinstitutional Doctorate in Education in Francisco Jose de Caldas University.
