Abstract
The authors analysed fracture-dislocations of the elbow and, in particular, the so-called “terrible triad”. All recent publications concerning the treatment of these lesions emphasise the use of hinged external fixation for joint stabilisation, associated with minimal internal fixation or operations combining prosthetic replacement of the radial head.
