Abstract
The aim of the article is to analyze the experience of grace by St. Ignatius of Loyoladescribed in his Autobiography. The method used in the article consists in analyzingthe structure and content of the entire text, and especially those passages that are fundamental for the inquiary: the spiritual experiences in Manresa and La Storta. The author argues that the experience of God’s grace in Manresa is developed in the proposalcontained in the Spiritual Exercises, and the experience in La Strota is followed by thegrace of vocation to the Society of Jesus. Another important conclusion is that Ignatiusentrusted his natural gifts to God so that God could act in him and through him as aninstrument of God’s grace, which for the Saint was above all the person of Jesus Christ
