Abstract
En el presente artículo se da a conocer cómo han ido evolucionando los derechos constitucionales en la legislación ecuatoriana, en donde vemos que actualmente la Constitución ecuatoriana ha establecido un sistema de derechos y libertades totalmente novedoso respecto al sistema constitucional ecuatoriano anterior, que se incluye en lo que se ha dado en llamar Neoconstitucionalismo latinoamericano, y que pasa por el reconocimiento y garantía de un gran elenco de derechos.
