Abstract

This paper examines the issues which are identified in the lists of prefixes and activities which are related to prefixes in Secondary Education books. The Spanish Language and Literature subject may provide the students with the necessary tools and knowledge which will give them the essential knowledge to manage any communicational situation. One of these knowledge are the grammar. Our research focuses on the use of prefixes in the Secondary Education level, throughout a variety of activities which favour the development of student’s critical thinking ability to observe morphological phemomena and to create generalizations at a basic level. Thus, teaching prefixes must take into account different components like the semantic, the syntactic and the pragmatic.
